Mountain Ridge student Mary Delaney has been announced the winner of the annual Enordo “Moose” Arnone scholarship for 2023. The award is a memorial to Moose who died in 2015 and honors his lifetime commitment to education and his faith in the youth of the community. At Beall High School, Moose Arnone was Student Government President, Chair of the Allegany County Student Council and played soccer, basketball, and baseball. Professionally, he became a teacher, administrator and board member of the Allegany County Board of Education. The winning applicant for the 2023 scholarship is Mary Delaney. She will be running track while majoring in Nutrition with a minor in Journalism at West Virginia University.
