Final results are in for the 2023-24 deer hunting season. Overall, Maryland hunters using archery, firearms, and muzzleloaders brought down over 72,000 deer between September 8 and February 3.  Frederick County hunters brought in the most deer with just under 7,000 harvested.  For Allegany County, the numbers were down this year – a total of 2,952 deer were harvested, a decline of 13% from last season.
