The state of Maryland is making $5 million available in grant funding to be divided among the state’s 33 Main Street organizations, with the hope that a lobbying effort will increase that amount by another five million. The money can be used for main street businesses hit hard by the pandemic. Although five to ten million will be available, the state has already received more than $12 million in requests.
