On Sunday October 27 at 10:20 PM Cumberland Police Officers responded to the 300 block of Springdale Street in Cumberland for a report of a suspicious person in an alley. Upon arrival they discovered a 34-year-old male victim who was suffering from stab wounds.
Responding officers rendered aid and the Cumberland Fire Department responded. The victim was found to have significant injuries and was transported to UPMC for treatment.
After investigation it was determined that the victim was attacked by several people brandishing weapons. Officers are continuing the investigation currently and are collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
