Not satisfied with the current level of service being provided by Breezeline- the Cumberland Mayor and City Council has retained a legal team that specializes in cable franchise agreements to work on a re-newed deal. The city and Breezeline have been without an agreement for more than a year- and when the council members began getting inundated with concerns and complaints from citizens- a decision was made to seek some outside assistance. The city has entered into an agreement with the Pittsburgh based Cohen Law Group to handle the new agreement. The complaints being heard range from the closure of the local cable office, to long wait times times when trying to contact the company by phone. City Administrator Jeff Silka said that unfortunately the franchise agreements to not allow the city address matters such as channel availability or rates. He is recommending that a public meeting be held in the near future to hear directly from the customers…
