There should be good weather for those participating Sunday in the 53rd Annual CROP Walk on the Great Allegheny Passage. The three-mile walk has been a mainstay in raising funds for local food bank programs. John Minnick of the Interfaith Food Pantry tells WCBC that while the walk takes place in Cumberland, it benefits the entire region in helping provide food through different outlets…
“Because the Western Maryland Food Bank also benefits from the CROP Walk, and member churches can go to the Food Bank to get food at reduced prices, it does benefit even sections of the community that maybe wouldn’t be coming to the Cumberland CROP Walk.”
