On Monday, May 27th, 2024, the Cumberland City Police served a Criminal Summons on Kaylee Nichole Jacobs, 29, of Cumberland MD. The summons was in reference to an incident that occurred on May 24th at a residence in the 400 block of Columbia St. During that incident, it is alleged that Jacobs was observed on the property multiple times after being advised not to do so by the owner. She was served the summons and released, pending trial in District Court.

On 10/01/2023 at approximately 5:30 PM a complainant came into the Cumberland City Police Station. They advised they had an active protective order against Stanley Caito who is currently incarcerated at the Allegany County Detention Center. Caito had called the complainant from the Detention Center. The officer verified that the protective order was active and had been served. The officer contacted staff at the Allegany County Detention Center and learned that Caito contacted the complainant on two occasions after the order was served. An application for charges was submitted to the District Court Commissioner and a Criminal Summons was issued. The summons was served and Caito remains jailed on unrelated charges.
