Allegany College of Maryland is entering in to an agreement with Allegany County to purchase property on Lane Avenue in LaVale where the college has been operating the Western Maryland Works Training Center. Currently, the college leases the property from the county for its Training Center and Makerspace. County Commissioner Creade Brodie commented that the college has done a fantastic job in developing the building…
“This is a great thing and I’ve been kind of involved in this one from the beginning and they’ve done a fantastic job. If the public has never went out and got to see this building and visit this building and see what goes on in this building, I would certainly encourage them to. The transformation that it’s undertaking is just phenomenal and the students it produces is even more phenomenal.”
