The Firefighters Union and Allegany County government officials met Friday to discuss options to avoid a $2 million dollar budget cut to county emergency services. A statement from the Allegany County Commissioners said a productive meeting produced various scenarios which are being evaluated to develop a plan that works within a constrained budget. WCBC has learned that those on each side of the issue are giving a little to find middle ground and that at this time no station closures are planned. There will be a vote by union members on Monday morning on suggested solutions.
