Since Friday, Allegany County has seen 21 new COVID cases, bringing the county’s cumulative case count to 6,369. Three additional deaths were recorded, bringing that total to 196. The current case rate in Allegany County dropped to just 7.3 cases per 100,000 population, less than half of the state average of 14.92 cases per 100,000 population. Allegany’s positivity rate is now at 2.99%, the lowest it has been since mid-October, while the statewide average is 4.17%.
