For the week of 8/7 through 8/11, Triton Construction will be installing water service lines, fire suppression lines and conduit for future fiber optic lines into buildings on the southern side of Baltimore Street between Mechanic Street and Liberty Street.
Due to the nature of this work, there will be temporary sidewalk closures throughout the week to portions of the area shaded blue in the attached image. Access will still be provided to the front entrances of all buildings throughout the entire week, with the exception of the occasional short-term closure to complete tie-ins.
The contractor will make every effort to provide advanced notice to adjacent businesses prior to any full-block sidewalk closures.
Additionally, some of the buildings in this area will have temporary water service outages as the new service lines are tied in. The contractor will provide 24-hours' notice to each building prior to these planned outages. Each outage should last less than 4 hours. This work will generally move from the Mechanic Street (west) end to the Liberty Street (east) end of the street, but there will be some overlap.
Please use caution in this area and obey all pedestrian barriers and other safety devices that will navigate you around the construction.
