The small town of Lonaconing does it up big for the Christmas season, hanging lights throughout the town and a town Christmas tree lighting scheduled for December 11 at 6pm. The town also plays host to an event – Coney Christmas – taking place on Saturday December 14. Lonaconing Mayor Jack Coburn tells WCBC there are activities planned throughout the day for the entire family…
“That’s an all-day event. It starts at 8 in the morning at the Goodwill Fire Company where they’ll be serving breakfast. And then at 11am will be the Christmas parade, and then throughout the day there will be vendors and crafters, homemade fudgers all kinds of great things there.”
