Community Colleges Get Funding for Cybersecurity Training

Federal funding secured by Senators Ben Cardin and Chris VanHollen will help bolster Maryland’s cybersecurity talent pipeline. The funding will be used by the state’s community colleges to offer training through interactive simulated platforms that provide hands-on learning.  Governor Moore made the announcement at Howard Community College…

“And so the state has provided $936,000 to CBR Cyber and the Maryland Association of Community Colleges for this project.  I am also very proud to announce that the state will provide an additional $1.8 million dollars for this endeavor through our administration’s Talent Innovation Fund.”
