Governor Wes Moore’s office announced Friday afternoon that Kingspan Roofing and Waterproofing will be establishing a new manufacturing facility in Allegany County at the former Hunter Douglas site. The company is a new division of Kingspan Group and produces and distributes roofing and waterproofing components. The company intends to expand the existing building and construct a secondary rail line to connect to CSX. The Allegany County Commissioner Dave Caporale said the economic development department played a huge part in getting Kingspan here…
“A lot. Our staff was really helpful on this. They’ve pretty much been on the ground even going back to when Hunter Douglas had first left of what they could do to help us market this building and help get a new tenant at the site.”
