On Saturday, February 1, 2025 at approximately 2:38 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of Columbia Street for a disturbance.  Police contacted the parties involved who were currently arguing.  One of the parties reported that Cassandra Thompson had been causing a disturbance and damaging a truck.  During the investigation, Thompson attempted to walk away after being told that she was not free to leave.  Thompson continued to cause a disturbance and refused to listen to officers.  Thompson was arrested and transported to police headquarters.  She was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial.
