On Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the 600 block of Columbia Ave for the report of an assault in progress. Once on scene, officers contacted several involved parties as well as witnesses to the assault. It was learned that an argument broke out over a game of pool. The argument then led to a physical altercation where no subjects were injured as a result. While on scene, a female subject was continually disruptive in the street. After repeated requests to cease her disruptive behaviors, the female refused to comply. As a result, Misty Dawn Jenkins, 47, of Cumberland MD, was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters. She was later issued a Criminal Citation and released, pending trial in District Court.
