Live coverage on WCBC tonight of the CNN Presidential Debate between Democratic President Joe Biden and Republican presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump in Atlanta, GA. Poll's today show 55% of Democrats think the debate is extremely or very important for the success of the Biden campaign. About half of Republicans, 51%, say the same thing about the importance of the debate for the Trump campaign. One-third of Independents say the debate is highly important for either campaign.
Biden and Trump are each entering the debate with low favorability ratings. About 6 in 10 U.S. adults say they have a very or somewhat unfavorable view of Biden, and a similar number have a negative view of Trump.
WCBC coverage begins on 1270AM and 103.1FM at 8:06 p.m. this evening with the 1 hour debate beginning at 9:00 p.m.
