BENCH WARRANT SERVED
On Friday, October 25, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Bambi Rotruck. The warrant was issued as the result of Rotruck failing to appear in court. She was originally charged with driving on a suspended license. Rotruck was arrested and seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, she was released on her personal recognizance.

BENCH WARRANT SERVED
On Friday, October 25, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Mathews Norris. The warrant was issued as the result of Norris failing to appear in court. He was originally charged with Trespass-Posted Property. Norris was arrested and seen by a District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing. At the conclusion, he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Friday, October 25, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Donald Wharton. The summons was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on September 30, 2024. On this date at approximately 10:12 AM, officers responded to a business on Ali Ghan Rd. for a theft complaint. Police contacted the staff who reported that they had an employee who has been stealing from the store. The suspect was identified as Donald Wharton. After further investigation, police filed for charges against Wharton at the District Court of Allegany County. Wharton signed for his copy of the summons and he was released pending trial.

Criminal Citation Served
On June 14, 2024, an Officers of the Cumberland Police was driving on Queen City Drive and observed a male subject illegally crossing the CSX train tracks. This area is marked no trespassing for the public’s safety. The Officer made contact with male subject later identified as Christopher Idol. The Officer informed Mr. Idol that he is permitted to cross the tracks at Baltimore Street. Idol was issued a Criminal Citation for trespassing and was released.
Arrest: Christopher Idol, age 46, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Trespassing
Arrest Warrant Served
On June 14, 2024, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a Bench Warrant on Sue Ellen Lilly. The Bench Warrant was issued as a result of a Failure to arrear. She was transported to Central Booking.
Arrest: Sue Ellen Lilly, age 55, Cumberland Maryland. Charges: Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear.
