On January 30, 2025 at approximately 10:51 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 100 block of Bedford Street for a disturbance. Police contacted the parties involved and identified one subject as Javas Bohrer. During the investigation, Bohrer was found to be in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia. Bohrer was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial.

BENCH WARRANTS SERVED
On Friday, December 13, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a Bench Warrant on Jules Schwarz Jr. The warrant was issued for Violation of Probation. Schwarz was originally charged with assault 2nd degree. Schwarz Jr. was served at the Allegany County Detention Center. Schwarz Jr. was held without bond.

On Friday, December 13, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a Bench Warrant on Maranda Chere Pearson. The warrant was issued for Violation of Probation. Pearson was originally charged with theft less than $100.00. Pearson was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. Pearson was held without bond.
