The Cumberland Police served a Criminal Summons on Robert Parks. The summons charged Parks with Disturbing the Peace, Harassment, and Disorderly Conduct. Parks is awaiting trial in this matter.
The Cumberland Police served a Criminal Summons on Cliff Green. The summons charged Green with Interception of Communication, School Trespass, and Trespass on Posted Property. Green is awaiting trial in this matter.

Theft
On July 27, 2018 at 6:19 pm, officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to White Oaks Plaza for a shop lifting complaint. Upon arrival officers were advised that the male suspect later identified as Deron Elbin, age 43, of Cumberland had fled the area. Officers quickly located Elbin and took him into custody. Officers recovered the stolen property and returned it to the business. Elbin was taken to the Cumberland Police Department where he was charged on a Criminal Citation for theft under $100. Elbin was then released pending trial in District Court.
Criminal Summons Served
The Cumberland Police served a Criminal Summons on Kevin Fahey, age 39, of Cumberland. The Criminal Summons stemmed from fraud investigation which began on July 20, 2018. During the investigation, officers learned that Fahey who had made the initial complaint provided false information about the fraud. Officers ultimately gather information and evidence that validated the fraudulent complaint made by Fahey. At the completion of the investigation, officers completed an Application of Charges on Fahey. This resulted in a Criminal Summons being issued charging Fahey with making a false statement to an officer. Fahey was served the Criminal Summons and released pending trial in District Court.
Domestic Assault
On July 27, 2018 at 11:25 pm, officers responded to the 1800 block of Oldtown Road for a domestic assault. Upon arrival officers spoke to several subjects including the victim. Officer were advised that Michael Alburtis, age 30, of Cumberland was upset over several issues in the house. They explained that an argument escalated into Alburtis throwing objects and assaulting the female victim. Officers located physical evidence to corroborate the witness’s and victim’s statements. Subsequently, Alburtis was placed under arrest for second degree assault. He was later taken to District Court for his Initial Appearance and released on his own recognizance pending trial.
