The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland will meet in public session beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Council Chambers of City Hall on Monday, August 5, 2024, for the purpose of immediately closing the meeting to receive legal advice regarding the project at 19 Frederick Street and to consult with staff regarding the City’s lawsuit against CSX as well as to receive the advice of the City Solicitor regarding that matter. Authority to close the session is provided by Section 3-305(b)(7) and (8) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
The Open Work Session will then begin at 5:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Council Chambers.
The Mayor and City Council's regularly scheduled Public Meeting will be held at 6:15 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Council Chambers.

The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland will meet in public session beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the second floor conference room of City Hall on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, for the purpose of immediately closing the meeting to have a City Incentive Discussion regarding the Memorial Hospital Project. Authority to close the session is provided by Section 3-305(b)(13) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland. The Open Work Session will then begin at 4:30 in the second floor conference room. Questions regarding this matter may be directed to the City Clerk's office.
