The City of Cumberland’s clean- up efforts continue June 23-25.  The first weekend saw a record number of tires brought in by residents – so many that no more can be taken.   Otherwise, the second weekend of the clean-up will have dumpsters at White Oaks Shopping Center for trash and bulk items. It is suggested that bulky items be broken down before bringing them to the site so dumpsters can hold as much as possible.  Citizens are reminded that not white goods such as appliances and not hazardous materials are accepted.  Proof of city residency is required – bring a tax or utility bill or valid driver’s license when dropping off items.
