The Chinese Bandits, one of the area’s most popular music groups, is calling it a career after half a century of entertaining, with a final show set for tomorrow (Saturday) night. The band, which still features two original members, played its first show in 1973 at the Appletree Inn in Hancock. The final performance will be a fundraiser for the Bishop Walsh Alumni Association from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Bishop Walsh School. Jeannie Seifarth, with the Alumni Association, tells WCBC News this is the first real fundraiser in sometime as efforts ceased for the most part during COVID-19…
The hope is that the Chinese Bandits farewell concert will draw a hugh crowd and lots of donations…
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. They can be purchased at the Book Center, Bishop Walsh School or by calling Nancy Billard at 301-777-1344
