A new central location opened for Chessie Federal Credit Union on Monday with the 122 Union Street branch officially in business and serving customers. The move saw the closure of the 141 Baltimore Street branch which has served customers there since 1988. Chessie’s president and CEO Scott Kline called it a difficult decision to close the downtown mall branch and no plans for a future use of the building have been announced.
