The Carver Community Center, Inc Board of Directors of Cumberland, Maryland made two important steps in the revitalization of the 340 Frederick Street property. First, the Board launched a Facebook page dedicated to updates on the progress of the restoration. Interested individuals can follow the Facebook page at Facebook.com/carvercumberland. On the Facebook page is also a link to a Request for Qualifications for cleanup and restoration services. Qualified firms will provide the cleanup and removal of debris from the Carver Community Center property located at 340 Frederick Street, Cumberland, MD. These steps were taken by the Board in response to recommendations made as the result of two community listening sessions and two community walk-throughs of the facility. “Through listening to the Carver community, it is clear that the steps taken by the Board today will increase communication and ensure that community based companies will have the opportunity to participate in the restoration of this historic facility,” stated Mayor Ray Morriss, Chairman of the Carver Board.
