Maryland’s Department of Health has a new tool to track the health implications of cannabis use. A new dashboard shows data on emergency department visits, youth and adult use, as well as calls to poison control centers. Data from the new dashboard shows a significant increase in ER visits related to cannabis use, a rise of 44% year over year from 2022 to 23 among adults age 20-29. The state dashboard also shows a surge in calls to poison centers for those under the age of 20.
