Created in 2018, the hope is that the Canal Place Task Force will issue it’s final report in the coming months. The seven-member task force, chaired by Delegate Jason Buckel, was created by legislation to examine the future viability of Canal Place and whether any changes were needed. A primary objective has been trying to determine if the state-owned, 11-acre tract should be divided into portions and sold to private investors or kept as is.
