On 1/1/2025 at approximately 1:30 AM the Cumberland City Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Broadway Street for a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival an officer observed Michael Campbell running from the scene. Campbell was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. Upon interviewing the victim officers learned that Campbell and a group of subjects arrived on Broadway Street attempting to assault the victim. Campbell forced his way inside the residence breaking the door frame before fleeing. Campbell was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for Central Booking. Campbell is awaiting his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner at this time.
