A section of Evitts Creek Road is being detoured for a bridge deck repair across Koon Dam, through July 18. 

The bridge deck is being improved to eliminate a future need for a posted weight restriction on the bridge. The 13-mile detour will follow Lake Gordon Road to White Church Lane and back to Evitts Creek Road. 

Contractor Carl Belt Incorporated is completing the project.
