The Pittsburgh Post Gazette is reporting that the Pirates have traded RHP Jameson Taillon to the New York Yankees for four prospects.
Taillon follows IB Josh Bell and RHP Joe Musgrove out of Pittsburgh via the trade market as General Manager Ben Cherington is the midst of a full scale rebuild.
Rumbunter.com is reporting the four players coming back to the Pirates are pitchers Miguel Yajure, Ransy Contreras, middle infielder Maikol Escotto, and outfielder Canaan Smith. All are said to have been in the Yankees top 21 prospect list.
