Although Allegany County’s former superintendent of schools recently announced he is stepping down from his current position in Tennessee, school board vice-president Robert Farrell says he, for one, would have no interest in seeing David Cox return. Cox resigned from his position as Allegany County superintendent in 2019 to take a similar job in his home state. With the local board set to begin the search process for a permanent superintendent occurring at the same time Cox is leaving his current job, some have speculated about a possible reunion. Farrell, who was never a Cox supporter, said he believes the school system has been running more efficiently and effectively since Cox’s departure…
