Masking will largely be voluntary; contact tracing won’t be in place and social distancing no longer required. Although COVID-19 numbers are spiking in the region and the new school is right around the corner, the Allegany County Board of Education has adopted a far more relaxed set of COVID protocols. Debby Metheny, Director of Special Education and Student Services, presented an overview of the new COVID strategy for schools to begin the 2022-2023 school year.
