From the Garrett County Sheriff's Office:
On June 13, 2024, around 6:30 p.m. Patrol Deputies and Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division, responded to Pattison Avenue, Bloomington, for a reported shooting. The investigation revealed that an argument took place between the suspect, Robert Sean Pattison Sr, and the victim Derek Richard Cessare.
During the course of the argument, Cessare was shot by Pattison. Cessare was transported to UPMC Western Maryland Hospital and was later flown to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Robert Sean Pattison Sr, 43 years old, Bloomington, was arrested and charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Reckless Endangerment, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Pattison was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center where he is currently being held without bond.
