One of Senator Mike McKay’s bills this year in Annapolis is designed to give more protections for burial plots and monuments placed by families for departed loved ones. Senate Bill 421 extends the statute of limitations for prosecutions for desecration of these sacred sites. The bill was heard in the Judicial Proceedings Committee where Senator Mary Dulany-James shared her experience with family plots being destroyed.
