The Director of Maryland Lottery and Gaming, John Martin, said seven of the 10 licensees will be ready to take bets Wednesday. They include the state's four largest casinos, plus FanDuel and DraftKings.
The Maryland Sports Wagering Application Review Commission on Wednesday awarded licenses to 10 mobile sports wagering entities.
The commission said analysts predicted mobile sports betting would bring $26 million in tax revenue for the state within the first year.
