BENCH WARRANT/CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED

On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Dion Alves.  The warrant was issued as the result of Alves failing to appear in court.  He was originally charged with Driving Uninsured Vehicle.  Alves was arrested and transported to Central Booking.  He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and released on his personal recognizance.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Darryl Harris.  The summons was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on November 4, 2024.  On this date, police took a theft report where the victim alleged that he had property stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Furnace Street.  After further investigation, a suspect was developed and identified as Darryl Harris.  Charges were filed against Harris at the District Court of Allegany County.  Harris signed for his copy of the summons and he was released pending trial.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Charles Toles.  The summons was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on January 14, 2025.  On this date, police responded to a residence in the 800 block of Patterson Avenue for an assault.  During the investigation, Charles Toles was identified as a suspect in an assault that occurred several days prior.  Charges were later filed against Toles at the District Court of Allegany County.  Toles signed for his copy of the summons and he was released pending trial.

On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Britini McFarland.  The warrant was issued as the result of McFarland violating probation.  She was originally charged with 2 counts of Assault-2nd Degree, Fail to Obey a Reasonable & Lawful Order, Resist Arrest, and Disorderly Conduct.  McFarland was arrested and transported to Central Booking.  She was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and posted a $500 bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Shadashua Malone.  The summons was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on October 29, 2024 at approximately 6:52 PM when officers responded to a business in the 200 block of Greene Street for a disturbance.  Police contacted the staff who reported that there had been three subjects inside the store causing a disturbance.  The involved parties were no longer on scene.  After further investigation, a suspect was identified as Shadashua Malone.  It was learned that Malone had assaulted another party during the disturbance.  Police filed for charges against Malone at the District Court of Allegany County.  Malone signed for her copy of the summons and she was released pending trial.
