Bench Warrant / Criminal Summons Served

Adult Arrest: On Thursday, August 29, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Billy Bradfield II. The Allegany County District Court issued the summons for an incident that occurred on August 25, 2024. Officers responded to a sporting event taking place on public school property in the City of Cumberland, for the report of a sex offender on the property. Upon arrival, Officers contacted Bradfield, who advised he was not aware of any restrictions barring him from the property. Bradfield was removed from the property at the time of the incident. Further investigation revealed Bradfield was not legally permitted on school grounds. An application for charges was submitted to the Allegany County District Court which yielded a criminal summons. Bradfield was served with the summons and released pending his trial at District Court.

Arrest: Billy Wayne Bradfield, age 37, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charge: Registered Person entering Restricted Property.

Bench Warrant Arrest
On Thursday, August 29, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a Bench Warrant on Paul Goetz. The Allegany County District Court issued the Warrant due to Goetz violating the terms of his probation. Goetz was arrested and taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Arrest: Paul William Thomas Goetz, age 45, Cumberland, Maryland.
Charge: Violation of Probation.

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Larry Casey Jr.  The warrant was issued as the result of Casey violating the conditions of his probation.  He was originally charged with violating a Protective Order.  Casey was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Saturday, October 14, 2023, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Michael Wallace.  The summons was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on October 3, 2023.  On this date at approximately 10:58 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a health facility in the 1000 block of W. Industrial Blvd. for a disturbance.  Police contacted the staff who reported that Michael Wallace had been there causing a disturbance, arguing with patients and employees.  Police contacted Wallace who was walking down Industrial Blvd. and told him to not return to the facility.  At approximately 12:30 PM, officers responded back to the facility for another complaint involving Wallace.  The staff reported that Wallace had returned and caused yet another disturbance.  Officers were unable to locate Wallace who had already left the area. Police filed for charges against Wallace at the District Court of Allegany County.  Wallace signed for his copy of the summons and was released pending trial.
