Maryland Water Service provides water to four communities in Maryland – Bel Air, Pinto, and also in Harford and Anne Arundel counties. The private water system is seeking approval from the Public Service Commission for a rate increase that could be up to 40%. Bel Air residents pay in excess of $150 per month for water now on average, with stories of some bills being as high as $3,000.
