A new outpatient behavioral health treatment center has opened on Industrial Boulevard near UPMC Urgent Care to help individuals suffering from substance abuse and mental health issues. “We want to get out there and challenge the stigma that this is a healthcare facility just like a doctor’s office where anybody struggling with a mental health or substance abuse condition – this is a place where they can get treatment without judgement.”
Regional Director Gordon Levine said that several services are offered currently and they hope to expand to primary health care as well…
“We do a bunch of different things under one roof. We do medication, we do mental health counseling, medication for mental health, we do substance abuse counseling. We have recovery peers on site.”
