A structure fire is under continued investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal.  An apartment building on lower Bedford Street caught fire just before 11 a.m. Saturday morning.  A tenant in the building smelled an unknown odor and heard the smoke alarm inside the involved apartment.  A couple living in the apartment which caught fire were not at home during the incident. One family cat perished and another is missing. Preliminary investigation shows the fire began in a bedroom. The Cumberland Fire Department responded.
