On 10/02/2024 at approximately 11:30 PM the Cumberland City Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bedford Street for a destruction of property complaint. Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim. The officer observed several potted plants to be knocked over and damaged. The victim advised Christopher Cook was responsible for the damage. Officers located Cook at a nearby residence and attempted to place him under arrest. Cook pulled away from officers and attempted to go back inside the residence. Cook was placed under arrest and transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for central booking. Cook is awaiting a hearing before a District Court Commissioner as of this writing.
Arrested – Christopher Scott Cook (28) Cumberland, MD
Charges – Malicious destruction of property, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest
