State Police in Bedford are investigating the attempted luring of a child in the Everett Borough. Police say the incident occurred in the area of North Spring Street and East Fourth Street around 8pm this past Sunday when a man reportedly attempted to lure a 7-year-old girl behind a dumpster by offering her candy. Troopers say the girl ran inside her home and the man fled the scene. The suspect is described as a tall, middle aged white male with blonde hair and he was reportedly wearing a red shirt and dark blue shorts. Police are asking nearby residents to check any home surveillance cameras and contact the Pennsylvania State Police at Bedford or the Everett Borough Police Department.
