Update from the Downtown Development Commission: Triton has finished the underground work on Liberty Street and will be transitioning back into installing Silva cells starting next week. They will begin in the Liberty St parklet and move their way up to Centre Street. Once they have completed Silva cell installation on both sides of the middle block of Baltimore, they will begin demolition of Centre Street. We are anticipating Centre Street work to begin in about 2-3 weeks.
Romano (the paver sub-contractor) should begin doing the concrete work (curbs and concrete road base, mostly) on Liberty Street early next week. They will start on South Liberty and work their way north. This work will cause Liberty Street to have prolonged traffic closures, but we don't have details yet as to when and how long these closures will be – probably no more than 3 weeks total for all work and concrete curing time. We will not approve both Centre and Liberty Street being closed at the same time, unless it is completely unavoidable.
