On 08/02/2024 at approximately 9:45 PM the Cumberland City Police Department were dispatched to the 400 block of Baltimore Avenue for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival officers observed that a vehicle traveling on Baltimore Avenue driven by Kenneth Wilson III had struck a parked vehicle. Officers detected signs of impairment from Wilson. Wilson submitted to a series of field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Officers were informed that Wilson was involved in another accident on Henderson Avenue prior to striking the parked vehicle. Another victim called into the police station and advised that Wilson had struck their vehicle, initially stopped, then fled the area. That victim was able to provide the registration plate of the suspect vehicle that struck them and it matched the vehicle Wilson was operating. Wilson was issued several DUI and hit and run related citations. Wilson was released pending trial in District Court.

Charges – Driving under the influence, driving under the influence per se, driving while impaired, failure to stop after attended vehicle accident, and numerous minor traffic related charges
