On Saturday, July 29th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police responded a residence in the 900 block of Gay St for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a victim and witnesses to the assault. Those involved advised officers that an altercation had occurred at a nearby business involving Kaden Jean Crabtree. After leaving the business, the altercation continued at the Gay St residence. Investigation revealed that Crabtree forced his way into the home and assaulted a male victim. As a result, Crabtree, 24, of Cumberland MD, was placed under arrest.

He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. He is currently being held on $1500 bond.

Charges: Assault 2nd Degree, Burglary 3rd Degree, Trespassing.
