On June 15, 2024, The Cumberland Police Department and the Cumberland Fire Department were dispatched to Centre Street for an assault/trauma patient. Upon arrival Officers located a male subject holding a washcloth to the side of his head. Officers observed blood dripping from the area and assisted by applying pressure. The victim stated that he was assaulted with a crowbar. CFD arrived and transported the victim to UPMC for additional medical treatment. The victim identified the suspect and she was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center.
Arrest: Alyssa Hockenberry, age 21, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Assault 1st degree and Assault 2nd degree.
