CRIMINAL SUMMONS SERVED
On Friday, June 21, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on John Sell. The summons was issued in connection with an incident that occurred on June 18, 2024. On this date at approximately 6:54 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a residence in the 500 block of Bedford Street for an assault. Police arrived and learned that John Sell had assaulted multiple people in the residence. When police engaged Sell, Sell assaulted multiple officers. Sell was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for an evaluation. Charges were filed against Sell at the District Court of Allegany County. Sell signed for his copy of the summons and he was released pending trial.
