On September 22, 2024, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a Grand Jury Indictment Gregory Thomas Welch III. Mr. Welch was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center awaiting his initial appearance.
Arrest: Gregory Thomas Welch III, age 24, Baltimore Maryland.
Charges: Three (3) Counts of CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotic, Three (3) Counts of CDS Possession not Cannabis and Three (3) Counts of CDS Distribute Narcotic.
On September 22, 2024, Officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a Fugitive out of State Warrant on Stephanie Lynn Wright. Wright was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center.
Arrest: Stephanie Lynn Wright, age 37, Cumberland Maryland.
Charge: Motor Vehicle Theft and Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle.

On September 28th, 2023 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Anthony Horn Jr. The Arrest Warrant was issued by the District Court when Horn violated the conditions of his probation. Horn was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held on a $500 bond.
Arrest: Anthony Edward Horn Jr, age 25, Cumberland Maryland.
Charge: Violation of Probation.
