Arrest Warrant Served for April Incident

On Friday, May 10, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Amber Westfall.  The warrant was issued as the result of an incident that occurred on April 30, 2024.  On this date at approximately 11:00 AM, an officer of the Cumberland Police Department observed Amber Westfall in the area of Virginia Avenue.  The officer confirmed that Westfall had active warrants for her arrest.  When the officer contacted her and informed her that she had warrants, Westfall fled on foot.  The officer initiated a foot pursuit and was able to take her into custody.  A search of Westfall’s person incident to arrest revealed that she was in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Police filed for additional charges against Westfall and a warrant was issued.  Westfall was arrested and transported to Central Booking.  She was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.
