ARREST WARRANT SERVED

On Sunday, June 23, 2024, the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Joshua Clark Sr.  The warrant was issued in connection with a theft investigation.  On June 17, 2024 at approximately 7:35 PM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 100 block of Virginia Avenue for a theft.  Officers contacted the victim who reported that Joshua Clark stole his phone.  During the investigation, police learned that Clark was using the victim’s phone to contact a subject who currently has a Protective Order against him.  Officers searched the area and located a male subject matching the description of Clark in the area of Williams Street.  The subject then fled on foot and officers were unable to locate him.  Police later filed for charges against Clark at the District Court of Allegany County.  He was arrested and transported to Central Booking.  He was later seen by a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center on a $3,000 bond.
